Site is back

datePosted on 07:36, July 13th, 2010 by Jeff Leadbeater

I had to rebuild the site from scratch due to chronic server errors. I am now running on WordPress for Windows, instead of WordPress for Linux.

I am currently researching a new look for the site.

Blog now mobile-friendly, try it on iPhone, Blackberry, or others

Sport Club Orlando is now mobile-friendly. Thanks to the WordPress PDA & iPhone plug-in by Imthiaz Rafiq, this website now fits on your phone, PDA or Blackberry.

Here’s how the website looks on iPhone or iPod touch:

This image was generated with an iPhone emulator, but it is essentially what it looks like on an iPhone. On regular phones, you get a streamlined text-based version of the site.

Just go to the normal website address on your mobile device, and you’ll get a small version of this website.

I have decided to close the forum. Nobody was using it.

If anybody ever decides to actually read the blog, it may come back.

The Rebranding: Sport Club Orlando

datePosted on 18:02, January 24th, 2010 by Jeff Leadbeater

I have decided to re-name the site.

There is nothing changing with this site except the name. From now on, the name of the site is Sport Club Orlando. The Twitter and Facebook will be updated soon.

This site will remain dedicated to the team sports of Central Florida. The name will reflect the nature of my mission, to promote Orlando’s sport culture.

Now using NetworkedBlogs

In order to better promote this page (I mean, who reads it right now anyway?), I have linked the blog to Facebook’s NetworkedBlogs app.

You can find it at NetworkedBlogs on Facebook. I also now have a Facebook fan page, and I have discovered a direct syndicator from Facebook to Twitter, so no more fooling with WP-to-Twitter anymore.
